WELCOME TO MY WEBSITE!
After 32 years of being an artist i have now decided to have my own website. I have created many pieces of art over the years. in the first 10 years, all the framed and unframed art that you will find here, came into being. in 2000 I made my first quilt. After numerous quilts, then came numerous creative wall hangings, and finally wearable art.
I have gained a great deal of knowledge creating my things. It is my hope that i can pass on two things. First, some of the knowledge I have gained and second, an insight into how my mind works when i am conforonted with a new creative challenge.
My website was designed by salvatore guarneri (salsjg@gmail.com), a talented young digital media artist. please explore this beautiful website we created together!

I am at my best when I create art. My whole being…my life experiences, my intellect, my patience…all unite to become a force which I corral to achieve the outcome that emerges from my mind.
As I evolved as an artist, I experimented with different mediums in an attempt to find ways that would express who I am. Earlier mediums included oil, acrylic, colored pencils, and what I call scribble drawings. In 2000, I made my first quilt, then wall hangings and finally, wearable art. Of these, I feel my scribble drawings with their freedom and humor, best represents my unique artistic voice.
However, I have come to realize that I really don’t care what the end result of my art looks like. What is most important to me is the playing and the creative process that occurs along the way. In the initial stages of that process, I feel a tension building within me. It is not an unpleasant feeling. As my playing continues, I slowly begin feeling that tension ease and then suddenly it releases as I finally see my path forward. That is my a-ha moment. It is quite a thrilling sensation and the reason I am an artist.
